Catherine et Léo se sont rencontrés au travail, chez Portatec, une compagnie de fabrication de portes et fenêtres haut de gamme sur mesure. C’était il y a environ 13 ans. Un soir, environ 5 ans plus tard et alors qu’ils étaient seuls, Léo a fait la grande demande à Catherine, dans l’usine! Cet endroit était important pour lui, car la compagnie prenait une grande place dans leur vie et elle fut le lieu où se sont développés leurs sentiments!
Leur union officielle a eu lieu à la magnifique église Sainte-Famille de Boucherville! La journée était parfaite, avec une température légèrement sous le point de congélation et un magnifique soleil assez chaud pour permettre à la mariée de marcher dehors sans manteau! Le genre de météo que tout couple se mariant l’hiver souhaiterait avoir!
Après avoir accompagné la mariée durant ses préparatifs, puis le marié avec sa famille, nous nous sommes dirigés à l’usine où tout a commencé, pour prendre quelques photos. Les deux se sont donc vus avant la cérémonie et l’endroit choisi dans le bâtiment pour ce «first look» fut le même que lorsque Léo a fait sa grande demande! Je peux vous dire qu’il y avait beaucoup d’émotions dans l’air!
Ensuite vint le temps de la cérémonie. Encore une fois, il y avait beaucoup de larmes de joie ; que ce soit lorsque la mariée a fait son entrée accompagnée de son grand garçon, ou lors des discours des 2 amoureux un peu avant l’échange des alliances. Le tout fut suivi par un petit photoshoot à l’extérieur, sur les bords gelés du fleuve Saint-Laurent. Ils en ont même profité pour faire une mini bataille avec des boules de neige!
Pour la réception, ce n’était que du plaisir! Une entrée officielle spectaculaire (Léo sait certainement comment danser!), des discours amusants et touchants, une piste de danse remplie, un groupe d’amis très énergiques et au surnom tout droit tiré d’un film 18+ (que je ne dévoilerai pas ici!), Léo chantant une chanson pour son amoureuse, cette dernière lui faisant une danse spéciale avec ses amies, etc. Bref, tout y était pour faire de cette soirée un succès! Et pour finir, les mariés ont accepté de me suivre sur les eaux gelées de la marina pour aller prendre une photo de nuit avec comme arrière-plan la ville de Montréal!

Catherine and Léo met at work, at Portatec, a company manufacturing high-end custom made windows and doors. It was about 13 years ago. One evening, about 5 years later and when they were alone, Léo asked Catherine’s hand, in the factory! This place was important to him, because the company took (and is still) a big place in their life and it was the place where their feelings developed!
Their official union took place at the beautiful Sainte-Famille church in Boucherville! The day was perfect, with a temperature slightly below freezing and a beautiful sun hot enough to allow the bride to walk outside without a coat! The kind of weather that any winter wedding couple would like to have!
After accompanying the bride during her preparations, then the groom with his family, we headed to the factory where it all started, to take some pictures. The two therefore saw each other before the ceremony, and the location chosen in the building for this "first look" was the exact same as when Leo asked her hand! I can tell you that there were a lot of emotions in the air!
Then came the time for the ceremony. Again, there were many tears of joy; whether it was when the bride walked down the aisle accompanied by her son, or during the speeches of the two lovers a little before the exchange of rings. It was all followed by a small photoshoot outside, on the frozen banks of the St. Lawrence River. They even took the opportunity to have a small fight with snowballs!
For the reception, it was a real party! A spectacular official entrance (Leo certainly knows how to dance!), funny and moving speeches, a packed dance floor, a group of very energetic friends with a nickname straight from an 18+ film (which I will not reveal here!), Leo singing a song for his love, the latter making a special dance for Leo, etc. In short, everything was there to make this evening a success! And finally, the bride and groom even agreed to follow me on the frozen waters of the marina to take a night photo with the city of Montreal as a background!
